Career Week

Brook Glenn celebrated Career Week just before letting out for Spring Break. The whole week was filled with exciting speakers and activities. Thank you to Mrs. Belcher-Shell (guidance counselor) and her committee for organizing and facilitating such a wonderful week of learning!

One day of Career Week had students visiting with people from the community to show us what they do for a living. The Taylors Fire Department spoke to kindergarten and first grade, the public library told first grade about all the possible jobs at the library and did a little storytelling (Pete the Cat, of course), an electrician met with second graders and talked all about the equipment he uses for his job, police detectives spoke to fourth graders, and more! Below are some of the pictures I took.

The last day of Career Week ended with a Career Jeopardy for grades 3-5. There were two teams answering questions about various careers and competing for bragging rights. The jeopardy template worked perfectly, and students were very excited to watch the game.
