Joining Communities in Edmodo

I have had a lot of questions lately about joining communities in Edmodo. How do I do it, and what's the purpose? How to join a community is an easy answer: Click on a community that you wish to start following, and click Follow This Subject. You can search or browse topics on the left. For example, I follow the topic "Teaching Strategies."

What's the purpose of joining a community takes a little more discussion. One reason for joining or following a community is to get the various resources that are shared. For example, since I follow Teaching Strategies, I have access to an array of strategies that I can share with colleagues. Joining a community also allows you to have collaborative conversations with like-minded people. You can connect with teachers from around the world, ask questions, get advice, and so much more!
